Précontraint 1302 T2 / 1302 S

Précontraint 1302 in T2 and S coatings is a heavier and higher strength upgrade from the Ferrari 1202 range. Utilising a panama weave with two threads woven in both directions on each pass instead of one, the 1302 base cloth increases tensile strength by an additional 25-30% from 1202 with a 29% increase in weight.

Ferrari’s exclusive Précontraint^® technology holds the textile under tension in both warp and weft directions throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring higher levels of dimensional stability and tensile strength, less elongation and a flatter base cloth. This enables a more substantial protective coating to be placed on top of the yarn without increasing overall thickness, creating a flatter, lighter textile subject to less deformation under tension.

Précontraint 1302 T2 is suitable for the largest, most demanding permanent structure designs. Finished on the top side with Ferrari’s Fluotop T2 PVDF, the textile resists weathering, soiling and pollution, maintaining a better aesthetic for longer. The back of the material is coated with Ferrari’s Formula S Weldable PVDF for ease of fabrication and cleaning in application.

1302 T2 is available in 178cm width and backed by a 15 year warranty reflecting Ferrari’s confidence in the textile’s remarkable strength and reliability.


Précontraint 1302S is finished on both sides with Ferrari’s Formula S Weldable PVDF for ease of manufacture associated with weldable coatings and possesses a stunning brilliant white aesthetic.

The textile offers the resistance to weathering, soiling and pollution expected from a PVDF finish and comes in 180cm width backed by a 12 year warranty.
