Précontraint 492

Ferrari’s Précontraint 492 Mesh represents an increase in weight, openness and strength from the lighter 392.  Précontraint 492 increases strength by 30% in the warp direction, weight by approximately 20%, openness to 24%, and is also manufactured with the Précontraint^® process.

Ferrari’s exclusive Précontraint^® technology holds the textile under tension in both warp and weft directions throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring higher levels of dimensional stability and tensile strength, less elongation and a flatter base cloth. This enables a more substantial protective coating to be placed on top of the yarn without increasing overall thickness, creating a flatter, lighter textile subject to less deformation under tension. The finished textile delivers exceptional levels of strength and longevity.

Précontraint 492 is suitable for a wide variety of applications ranging from catamaran trampolines to outdoor shade structures. Finished on both sides with a weldable acrylic lacquer for protection and ease of fabrication, the textile offers resistance to weathering, strength and reliability in an attractive, open mesh.
