19-06-2009ACASPA Expo 2009
The 2009 ACASPA Exhibition held in Melbourne at the Convention and Exhibition Centre on Spencer Street was a fantastic opportunity for Innova's customers to view the upcoming fabrics being released this year.
With many of the new fabrics only just arriving into Australia (and more to follow later this year) Innova-Ferrari decided to provide ACASPA members with a sneak peek of the new releases in a very innovative fashion. The internal and external walls of the stand were completely clad with the new textiles to highlight applications and their bold aesthetics.
With Innova celebrating their 21st year in business (17 years in partnership with Ferrari) the timing of the exhibition was perfect for the Australian preview of 32 new Précontraint 502 colours and a broad array of new Soltis solar protection textiles.
Inside the bright and colourful stand visitors were treated to a live demonstration of Innova’s brand new website, where they were able to sign-up to the Innova electronic newsletter which will be used to communicate the release of new products and information.
Possibly the single most interesting announcement of the exhibition, Texyloop recycling in Australia will become operational within the next few months which will allow customers to return select Ferrari composite materials to Heatherton for recycling. When sufficient tonnage is collected Innova will export this to Europe for recycling.
Ian Knox, Innova’s Managing Director, expanded on Texyloop in his ACASPA award’s night speech by announcing that the process would be offered as a viable environmental alternative for other select, non Ferrari composite textiles for the betterment of the PVC conversion industry in the Australasian region.
Innova, working closely with its partner Ferrari, becomes the first Texyloop recycling site for PVC coated fabrics outside of continental Europe.
