Précontraint 402

Précontraint 402 is an ultra-lightweight textile for tensile membrane structures that offers the benefits of Ferrari’s exclusive Précontraint method of manufacture combined with ease of fabrication and lower cost. At just 490gsm and with six colours presented at 267cm width, 402 is an inexpensive alternative to other Ferrari products for budget-sensitive applications.

Ferrari^®'s exclusive Précontraint technology holds the textile under tension in both warp and weft directions throughout the manufacturing process to ensure higher levels of dimensional stability and tensile strength, less elongation and a flatter base cloth. This enables a more substantial protective coating to be placed on top of the yarn without increasing overall thickness, creating a flatter, lighter textile subject to less deformation under tension. The textile delivers high levels of strength and longevity at significantly less weight than traditional building materials.

Précontraint 402 is suitable for a wide range of applications including awnings and entrance canopies, small shade sails and event marquees and tents. With ease of welding, excellent cleanability and a range of six popular colours, 402 offers flexibility and high performance on a tight budget.
