Silicones have a long history of use in the Healthcare industry due to their inherent biocompatibility, resiliency, resistance to typical sterilisation methods, and because they are fundamentally inert.
With Silicone products in use across a massive number of applications in the Healthcare sector due to the multiple benefits of the material it made perfect sense to extend these benefits to other products like Hayden upholstery fabric to further reduce the likelihood of Hospital Acquired Infections from common contact surfaces.

Both documents report that the material have 200,000 Martindale rubs. This should read Wyzenbeek (Cotton Duck)
